Challenge Cards #8 – Cupcake Hello

Hi there!

LawnFawn is sponsoring a cute and fantastic challenge at Lawnscaping Challenges Blog. The idea is to create a background! Well, can do that.

I used this little clear stamps set of mine by We R Memory Keepers Sweet Tooth. I decided to stamp the background with cupcakes and make a standing out cupcake right over the sentiment.

The cardstock I’m using for this card is Neenah Desert Storm, which I absolutely adore. Such a neat natural colour.

I also used VersaColor Inks to make an ombre cupcake which I put on dimensional squares. Love using them!

To finish the card I used my simple white gel pen and made some stitching along the borders.

Challenge Card #7 – With Love CAS

Greetings everyone!

I am still into challenges, because they are so much fun. Also February is so close and I feel like making red, love-related cards… This one applies for CAS(E) #107 Challenge.

This is the provided sketch:

I decided to go for red and white colours, to make the card look as simple as possible and yet Valentine-ish.

I made a 3D heart manually cutting out hearts and arranging them on the lower part. Then I stamped the sentiment in VersaColor Ink 23 Rose Red.

I also put several red gems to add some shimmer and details to this card.

Thank you for reading! Have a good day.

Challenge Cards #6 – Cold Winter Thank You Card

Hello everyone!

Thanks to all of you for leaving comments on my previous works – it’s so much appreciated! There’s a long way to walk through and so many interesting techniques to try out and polish till the turn out at least good. Your support is more than welcome and appreciated!

Now on to the card. It’s another challenge card for Color My Hear blog. I couldn’t resist participating, because they suggested my most favourite colours!

This is what I’ve managed to create.

I have decided to try to tone the background with Distress Inks, but it seems they are drying out. Time to get new ones!

I also used a little stamp from Scrapberry’s Flowers and Bird Clear Stamps Set, to add some black and a few details to the card.

Then I stamped the tag and the sentiment. Unfortunately, I don’t have a heat tool yet, so I had to “fake” it, using my fantastic silver marker over the stamped sentiment. It actually looks nice. And shiny, love shiny!

Then a little patterned flag-shaped paper piece and voila.

Thanks for taking a look!

Challenge Cards #5 – Sweet Lime and Blueberries Cake

Another challenge card, this time for My Favourite Things Colour Challenge. I couldn’t resist their fantastic colour mix and decided to give it a try. Luckily just a few days before their challenge I bought the inkpads with the colours suggested. It must be fate, haha!

So, this card has been a lot of fun to make. I used MFT Sketch from their 42nd challenge. Unfortunately, couldn’t find the link, and the picture was used from their PDF file.

To colour this little sweet cake I used VersaColor inks 42 Lime, 135 Hyacinth and Distress Ink Salty Ocean. I also decided to add some details and filled the blueberries with Viva Decor Glas Effekt Gel (Crystal Clear).

To create the background I still used VersaColor 42 Lime for lines. The paper comes from various sets, as Prima‘s and Dovecraft.

The sentiment comes from We R Memory Keepers Sweet Tooth Clear Stamps Set.

I hope you enjoyed this card and thanks for taking a look.

Challenge Cards #4 – Coffee Ombre

Hello there!

It seems I can’t get enough from challenges. I just love creating cards on a particular theme and there are so many great ideas. This card is created for Inkspirational Challenge Blog, where this round’s theme is ombre.

It’s not a usual card as well – only 3″x3″ tall and wide! Super tiny and cute, especially for those who love coffee, as much as I do!

To make this tinsee card I used my favourite for now Simon Says Stamp What’s Brewing Clear Stamps Set. I took the heart and the sentiment from it. To stamp the sentiment I used Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink Pad, which is fantastic for dark paper. Smudged a bit, but then it looks a bit like coffee foam! *A note to myself: be more careful next time, hey?*

To creat the coffee ombre colours I used Distress Inks Antique Linen and Walnut Stain, also Simon Says Stamp Khaki Dye Ink Pad. Colours combined really well together.

I also put some shimmer on them, using my Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Brush.

I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for taking a look!
