Challenge Cards #1 – Rabbit’s flower

Hi everyone!

I have decided to try and participate in various challenges. I am starting with this challenge at Retro Sketches. I liked the sketch they suggested for this challenge and made a spring card.

Actually, it first intended to be an Easter card, but then I changed my mind and turned it into a simple flowery card.

The stampset I used for creating the floral background is Scrapberry’s Flowers and Bird. There is quite a variety of flowers to be used to fulfil any purpose. Inks used with the set are Tim Holtz Distress Inks Walnut Stain and Antique Linen. I use small inkpads, because they are cheap and very comfortable for use. Tiny and nice to be stored in a little box of mine with all other inkpads.

The little rabbit has been watercoloured. I absolutely love colouring those tiny images, they turn out very neat looking and the colours blend well. Here I used a simple set of watercolour pencils. The stamp image itself was taken from Folia Ostern Clear Stamps Set.

The pattern paper is from the Prima Hello Pastel 6″ x 6″ pad. I can’t stop using it, it’s really good and varied with patterns and colours.

I have smashed the white outline a bit, but I don’t think it’s a huge disaster. Perhaps, I’ll be able to fix it, by finding a nice detail to add to the bottom of the card. Still haven’t decided what I want there and made my decision to end the card at that moment.

Here is the challenge sketch:
